To speak of what had happened at the volcano would be to speak of one of the region's most shaking events since the fall of Enryous and the slaying of Zren. Blood still lingered on the ledge where the battle had occurred, ash covering it little by little. The marks would fade to the fiery element below in time.
She rested in a bed of leaf litter, the ravaged, melted regions of her body exposed to any unlucky enough to cross near enough to view. The gnarled remains of her right foreleg and shoulder looked far from salvageable and the same went for the hollow socket in charred bone- the remains of her right eye. Narrae still breathed, though, mostly dead and certainly only half-flesh; a grim piece of work worthy of the darkest of settings.
The leaves stirred gently in the breeze, causing the brute to wake, though she made no effort to move. Initially, she'd attempted to look upon her injuries, startled that she still lived, but soon gave up such ventures when it proved simultaneously too difficult to orient her remaining eye for a good view and too painful to attempt to do so.
Even still, she raised her head to fix her singular optic upon the serene figure of Blankface, exhaling noisily at his eerie smile, "You know what I want already. Do it."
The female's voice was rough and dry; certainly harsher than it'd been previously.
Smile, he did.
That she'd been kept waiting was of his own accord, really. He liked to pick and choose what he did and when he did it, though her ordering him around served to appropriately move him to action- just this once.
The specter rose and strode over to her, his form altering as he did so until he stood in the form of a chimaera. His centermost head was that of a lion, the upper portion of its face covered by a simple mask, the ram and dragon's marked similarly. The snake which served as his tail bore no such marking, though it did possess a multitude of eyes that moved individually, peering at nothing in particular.
The chimaera gazed upon his fallen master with some level of disdain before the ram opened its mouth and simply exhaled upon her. It closed its mouth moments later and Blank's form shifted again, fading into the usual before he retreated within the confines of his levitating top hat.
All which must be given has been given, He commented simply before growing silent.
[/tt]
The seeming nonexistent exchange of power held no level of calm over the female and she moved from her lying position to a more upright one, lying upon her belly and resting as she might've if curled up next to her mate or any other. A growl rose in the dragon's throat before she felt feeling return to the affected limbs which she thereafter lifted and tested appropriately: she could move again. Vision followed shortly thereafter and the dragon immediately took stock of her ruined body, alarmed and intrigued.
What she saw consisted of mostly repaired flesh and few exposed bones. Everywhere the liquid fire touched had been repaired with ash gray hide that looked sickly and weak in comparison to her normally colorful hide. Even still, the specter could not repair all the damages and the fringes of her right wing were tattered, a few areas even possessed holes of varying sizes. Too, Narrae's neck and half of her face were simply exposed bone with little flesh clinging to the areas. A glowing lime green-yellow orb glowing softly in the socket where an eye had rested prior.
Undead. Sure, she could go with that.

KARKAT: I GOT A LAB FULL OF HUMANS, A MOUTH FULL OF YELLING, AND A TORTURED PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE FULL OF TOTALLY HYSTERICAL EMOTIONS AND UNAIRED GRIEVANCES AT PRACTICALLY EVERYBODY.
Throughout the events that had transpired, Xiu had been out patrolling the borders of their territory, oblivious of what had been happening in the meantime. It seemed to be just another day. Zoot trailed after him on the patrol, as she occasionally did when she was not out doing things on her own.
There was little chatter between them, neither being much of the vocal type, aside from one drawing the other dragon's attention to something or making remarks about what had been disturbed in some way, or of there being no sign of such. To others it would seem a dull task, but it was always important to Xiu.
When the usual strut around the territory came to an end, the male would make his way across the familiar paths back to the home cave to rest for the day, as well as to report to Narrae that all was well. Upon arriving at their little clearing, Xiu's steps faltered as his eyes swept the area. There was a faint stench of fire, just fading on the wind. Perhaps no need for alarm, if it had been just Narrae's flame, but there was worry nonetheless and Xiu hurried to the cave's dark mouth.
Burnt flesh. The scent was heavy, even in such a small area. "Narrae? Is all well?" The male questioned, alarmed now as he ducked into the cave and crept along the various leaves and twigs that coated the floor like natural carpet, seeking Narrae's familiar, bulky form. What alarm he felt became solid shock when his eyes first found the strange glowing eye, and what else had been changed beyond. "What on earth happened?"
_____
Far beyond the territory of the trio and their accompanying specter, another dragon lived, hidden away in the forest's more thickly shaded areas. The area was cool here, something considered comfortable to its lone resident. One who was still oblivious to the events, and to everything else that had ever happened before it after her leave. A mossy curtain hung over the cave in which she lived, parting as the lady exited to rest outside, so far enjoying the remainder of the day in peace; at least she thought she would be.
Narrae responded with a soft rumble, "Perchance, do you recall the hatchling we took for Valaina?" Her normally fluent draconic possessed a newer, clipped edge to the words and more emphasis accompanying every r, t, v, and c. If he did not answer the affirmative, she'd give him a brief refresher before a short overview of what had come to pass, inviting him to rest near her as she did so.
Once finished with her telling, a flick of the head was given to Zoot before a command was issued, "Locate Valaina and bring her back to me. With Cirinia dabbling in whatever magics she so sees fit, away doing whatever she pleases, Sh'Tusa's Seekers is as good as counted among the Fallen Clans." The female's tone hardened as she glanced at her feathered mate, "And from the ruins of those who've come before, we will build a new world order."
In a sense, Narrae was madder than she'd ever been prior. If there were bats in her belfry before, certainly the belfry was good and overrun by now. All vengeance and madness, more had been lost at the volcano than an eye and half of her flesh. Truthfully, she wasn't even certain at this point that she'd actually lost anything at all. As her rage grew to a wildfire that consumed what remained of her sanity, a simplistic and borderline religious belief was spawned: the volcano had breathed new life into her rather than almost taking it away.
Narrae believed she'd liquid fire coursing through her veins; that she manifested and embodied that which loomed over Vesmora- a fiery queen among lesser creatures.
There need not be any other deity she worshiped other than herself.
As Xiu had been, Zoot looked upon that which had been wrought upon Narrae with some level of horror. This was the hollow shell of her mother, the smoldering remains of their Clan's dominance throughout the region. A victor, sure, but a champion wreathed in terrible loss.
The hybrid glanced at her father with concern plainly visible in her inherited amber eyes, feathered wings spreading as she bent her forelegs to bow, "It will be as you desire, Mother."
Take-off came quickly and the younger dragon spiraled off without hesitation, feathers whistling softly as she flew. To the north lay a vast desert, the east the mountain chain, the west the coast, and south, the vast unnamed forests which connected to Vesmora. As such, the smaller dragon headed in said direction: there were little to no appropriate hideaways for an adult dragon in any other given direction, though another region, Leratu, existed past the mountains.
Even still, several hours would pass before Zoot caught the patch of ebony lingering in the foliage below. A greeting call was released so as not to surprise the larger and Zoot landed, feathered wings folding with a soft rustle, a few leaves and twigs settling wherever her landing had sent them.
"I bear an urgent summons for Valaina Zrenslayer," Said Narrae's daughter as she offered the female a formal bow similar to the one she'd offered her dam, "From Majordomo Narrae in Vesmora; it heavily concerns you and cannot wait." Truthfully, Zoot could've conveyed what had come to pass then and there, but Valaina deserved to see in person what her own daughter had wrought than hear it from Narrae's. Too, it would be disrespectful for the youth to convey what the elder clearly wished to speak of to her acquaintance.
At request, a depiction of their location would be given and the feathered one bobbed her head slightly encouraging Valaina to go, "I must rest a little before I return; I flew as fast as I could, so urgent is the summons."
KARKAT: I GOT A LAB FULL OF HUMANS, A MOUTH FULL OF YELLING, AND A TORTURED PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE FULL OF TOTALLY HYSTERICAL EMOTIONS AND UNAIRED GRIEVANCES AT PRACTICALLY EVERYBODY.
The feathered dragon moved closer to curl himself around Narrae as she asked her question, his expression becoming thoughtful as a feathered wing was draped over the female's back. "I do recall her. The little blackscale." Xiu answered, gray violet eyes on her changed face as he awaited an explanation to follow the question. It did and the muscles of his jaws bulged as he clenched them together angrily.
"She did this to you?" The dragon growled, claws digging into the earthy floor of the cave. "I'll find that little wench and tear her head clean off of her shoulders. She should be easy pickings if she's injured." Xiu, despite his threat, did not move from his spot by Narrae's side; at least, not yet. Whether or not she objected to it, the feathered one was bound to go forward with it, but for now he remained to rest with her.
____
As the first hours began to slide past, the black female had moved from her resting spot only to venture out to catch herself a meal. It would at least give her something to do, aside from sate her hunger. The deer she brought back would be feasted upon, the remains moved inside once she'd finished and exited to recline upon the forest floor, the many dead leaves and other debris making it a comfortable bed.
As the day wore on, Valaina was disturbed from her nap, first by the soft sound of wing beats, followed up by a warble somewhere overhead. The dark lady was, for a moment alarmed, but relaxed as the newcomer landed. The feathers and colorations were enough to tell her that it had to be Xiu and Narrae's offspring. A friendly greeting had been ready on Val's lips but fell away as Zoot spoke. A summons!
Concern filled Valaina's features as she nodded to the younger. "I'll be on my way immediately. As for your rest, if you are hungry there are scraps of my meal within my lair. Help yourself to them while you regain your strength." The lady offered. Without another word, she spread her silvery blue wings and leaped skyward, the sound of her wing beats fading as she made her way swiftly to Narrae's lair.
Zoot settled once Valaina had departed, alert for any odd sights and sounds around the other female's lair. The remains of the meal were devoured with gusto before the youth resumed her respite, eyes drooping a little, the base of her head resting comfortably on the midsection of her neck similarly to the manner in which a swan's might.
A restful slumber was attained and the feathered female lounged in plain sight. Certainly, she'd little to fear this far from the main forest; most enemies chose to set foot in Clan territory directly, rather than scrounging about in the regions surrounding.
At the sound of Valaina's approach, Narrae's head tilted accordingly, fixing the blackscale with a frightening stare almost immediately. No aggression was in her glance, though, and any intimidation was merely because of the pseudo-eye. The appropriate greeting was given and the undead tossed her head marginally, what remained of her formerly luxurious crimson mane flicking gently, "Valaina, I have the gravest of news..."
The explanation would follow shortly thereafter. No details would be spared, especially not any that regarded her actions in the volcano's maw. Valaina would know full-well just what the brute had intended to do before she came to harm.
As such, she finished shortly with a soft rumble, "I would have rathered bring you your dead daughter than know she got away after doing this." She'd no need to gesture, Val would be able to see it and know it easily enough without the emphasis-- Xiu, too, lay close enough that the female did not want to risk knocking into him accidentally. This was a professional matter- it wouldn't do to flop about like a child.
"I would separate from Sh'Tusa's Seekers because of this. Mistress Cirinia flies far on the horizons. She cannot act here, as a leader. Not in times like these." Narrae continued brutally, "I would make a new Clan and certainly have space for one of your caliber." The invitation was spoken as if she'd little room for Val to decline. Surely, she meant such in a friendly manner, but the burning orb that served as her other eye glowed mercilessly and her gaze was hardened. No, if Valaina declined, Narrae would make her stay.
In truth, such was likely the first genuine act of madness the blue made. If Cirinia returned soon enough to bear witness to what she intended to bring forth, the Dark Lady would surely protest. Because of this, Narrae intended to work as quickly as she could. The second leader of Sh'Tusa's, the sister of Enryous, could not be allowed to stop her path to greatness.
No one could be allowed to stop this.
KARKAT: I GOT A LAB FULL OF HUMANS, A MOUTH FULL OF YELLING, AND A TORTURED PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE FULL OF TOTALLY HYSTERICAL EMOTIONS AND UNAIRED GRIEVANCES AT PRACTICALLY EVERYBODY.
The black dragon's flight to Narrae's lair was swift, responding to the urgency of the summons. How long it took her to get there was unknown to her, nor did she care; what she cared about was why she was needed so suddenly.
The crash of her silvery blue wings filled the air as she reached the small clearing and she landed silently, save for the leathery rustle of pale membrane as her wings were folded. Almost nervously she approached the cave's shadowed mouth and peered inside, her eyes adjusting to the gloom to spot Narrae and Xiu. The latter gave her a soft warble of greetings but otherwise stayed silent as the blue greeted her.
"Speak." Val prompted as she settled herself before the pair, her midnight eyes locked onto the other female as she began, noting the sudden changes to Narrae's appearance and her new eye with surprise. As for the news she was told, she was filled with shock. Myrria lives..
"I.. understand. If I had known she was alive, I would have tried to stop her myself. She sounds much like Zren, albeit a younger and more foolish version of him." The dark lady replied with a frown, eyes downcast. They returned to Narrae's altered face as the subject moved on to settle on the Sh'tusa's clan. She remained silent, even after the tri-colored beast voiced her invitation, to think upon the decision. The clan she was once in, Shadowclaw, had mostly disbanded and while she had considered upon joining with her friends, here, she knew something of Cirinia's inactivity; something that had started since the clan war had ended months before.
While the dragon of black and red was considered a friend, she did understand Narrae's decision to leave. And this invitation felt.. welcomed. It would give her a purpose, as well a chance in meeting the daughter she had believed to be dead. Unsure was she in the possibility Myrria could be convinced to step down from her ways, but there was always a chance. If not, then she and the others would be forced to end her.
"Yes. I would join your new clan."
____
The flight back to her lair had become too painful and tiring to continue, forcing the young female to land and move on foot. Her wounds still bled some, but stung from the ash that still remained, forcing her to find a stream. The water was cold and clear, no doubt snow melt from the nearby mountains. It would do.
When the witch cleaned out her wounds, she settled herself onto her side to give herself time to rest. The various cuts still throbbed painfully, but it felt dull, distant. Her eyes shut as she drifted for a while under a thin veil of sleep.
When she next awoke, some hours had passed; but her reason for waking was not because she was rested. It was because she heard the sound of wings and was alarmed for a moment that someone had been sent by Narrae to finish her off, if the tri-colored one still lived. Her dark eyes were turned skyward as she shuffled into the shade of a nearby tree to watch as a dragon flew over. Feathered. Xiu?
No, they were too small. However her curiosity had been piqued and moved her to follow them on foot. What business did they have here? Such was later found out when the figure finally landed to speak with one of dark scales and wings like hers. Her mother. Myrria narrowed her eyes as she watched the exchange, however what was said was lost to her due to the distance and she had to keep it that way, lest she be discovered. Only when her mother left and the other had fallen asleep did she creep out from hiding, moving carefully now as her wounds sang painfully along her chest and shoulders.
When she neared the sleeping form, her mind reached out to the other female's, made vulnerable by sleep. Her eyes began to glow a hateful yellow as she mentally prodded at Zoot's mind, working to put her under her control.
"You're mine now, dear, and you'll never see home again."
"It is settled then," Spoke the blue, her multi-colored eye pulsing softly while the stern amber gave the black a quick once-over, "You've been in the region long enough; none will know you for one of mine just offhand. A good spy you'll make for me, Valaina Zrenslayer."
That said, the brute glanced past the entrance, "I sense Zoot will run long, or not return at all. My new eye gives me such insight, but I cannot forsee why; was your lair known to any?" The query was not colored with aggression and simply bore honest surprise- few would be capable of readily felling one of her line; let alone one who'd dwelt in such a group as the hybrid.
"It matters not, either way. If we make haste now, it will be too late to stop whatever is going to happen; Zoot will return to us when she is able to." Narrae let the statement hang in the air before she rose, albeit shakily at first, and made her way to the entrance, "I feel it best I seek out the others of Sh'Tusa's and collect those who would seek to join our new Clan..."
Her pause lengthened and she turned back to the entrance, eyeing the two within almost curiously, "But, what should it be called?"
There were few in Sh'Tusa's Seekers versed enough in the magics of the mind so as to avoid such a snare. That such was true for Zootasath, daughter of Narraez, resulted in her starting into awareness, jerking involuntarily in an effort to physically move from her attacker. Unfortunately, her respite had left her too vulnerable to escape.
Without telepathy or any other means of communicating, as she was too far to cry out and now unable to do so, the young adult became the witch's puppet almost immediately. A few adjustments were made to her position and Zoot sat dully, waiting for instruction.
KARKAT: I GOT A LAB FULL OF HUMANS, A MOUTH FULL OF YELLING, AND A TORTURED PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE FULL OF TOTALLY HYSTERICAL EMOTIONS AND UNAIRED GRIEVANCES AT PRACTICALLY EVERYBODY.
A pleased smile would meet the tri-colored female's acceptance, but faded when she mentioned Zoot. Her expression instead showed her confusion and thought as she considered. "My lair is hidden where the trees grow thick and the shadow conceals all. A cave under a large group of mossy rocks. Only one knows of it, but I know he means no harm to anyone. If he did come to seek me, he would probably be only curious of Zoot's presence."
The dark lady moved aside as she answered when Narrae moved towards the cave's entrance, giving her a nod of understanding as she turned to follow her. Such was stopped for a moment when Val considered the question. "I'm not sure. We have time to think of it, however. As for the male I mentioned, he might be willing to join our ranks. He lives on the other side of the mountain range, facing the desert. His name is Drosselmeyer, a new friend of mine. He has skills that might be of use to us all."
____
The conquering of the other dragon's mind was far from even being called a challenge. It left the witch more time to rest and decide on what she needed of Zoot. She knew for one that this one was Narrae's daughter, and stealing her away would hopefully deal a blow; if not to Narrae, then to Xiu. It mattered not to her.
"We will stay here to rest. My mother will probably not be back for some time, but we will move out before she comes back. I don't need her interference." The vampire-hybrid hissed to the other as she settled herself down a few feet from the feathered lady. "Your knowledge is of little interest to me, but I shall let you know of my name. It is Myrria."
Narrae paused, tilting her head thoughtfully, "We'll settle it later, then." The brute strode back into the lair momentarily to collect Blank's top hat before resuming her prior position. A glance was given to Xiu by way of invitation before she gave Valaina her full attention once more, "The others can wait. They'll be full of questions that I only wish to answer once and never again after. This will be a nice change of pace." As ever, her fluent Draconic remained an object of interest in comparison to her inability to speak clearly in English or any of the other 'lesser' tongues, though it was given little thought by the female.
Once Valaina had taken flight, Narrae soon followed, delaying only marginally to enable the blackscale to attain a safe height. It wouldn't do to have any unneeded accidents so soon after a near-fatal one, after all. A lazy circle around the area was given to enable Xiu to follow if he so desired before she began flying at an easy pace; such was to encourage Valaina to do similar, after having flown so far in such a short period of time.
Zoot remained docile, giving no sign that she recognized Myrria, though her thoughts ran rampant. This was the dragon her mother had almost died in an effort to kill. This was the witch that Zren had sired... And yet, she could do nothing. Say nothing. Truthfully, even if she could say anything, it wouldn't really matter. Myrria had access to her thoughts, after all. The dragon would already know what she was about to say before she even uttered it.
Even still, she couldn't help but summon up some level of irritation; anything to let the bitch know she'd get her back. Somehow.
To have not landed in an area she was certain Cirinia was disheartened her-- marginally. She understood enough to know that likely enough, the dragon was occupied with matters of her own. Naive to what she'd done before she'd last left, she'd no idea that Cirinia might just be in a battle for her life or that others might be falling prey to the same witch.
Zoot remained oblivious to the metaphorical 'blip' on the radar that would signal Cricket's arrival in the wilderness. She'd no legitimate connection to Myrria's thoughts and inner workings, so she'd no ability to note such. In all, really, Myrria had complete access to her, but Zoot had nothing in return. Extremely rude.

And so, for no actual reason what so ever other than a vague whim that struck him, the alchemist went off in search of his favorite dragoness, Valaina.
He sighed, lost in thought as he roared through the air on dual rockets, as he imagined her beautiful raven mane, and how it tumbled down past her shoulders, and how the sun caught in the pale blue of her wing membranes, glinted off of her horns, and shimmered in her mane. He often found himself thinking of those elegantly carved obsidian scales, and the sapphire glimmer of her eyes.
He was, in fact, so lost in thought about his little crush that he almost crashed into the real thing mid-air. The emerald embers that were his prosthetic crystal eyes whirred noisily as everything smacked back into focus. The inventor let out a shout and swiveled his boosters around in a panicked hurry to reverse trajectory, which only rewarded him by slowing him down enough that he plummeted down into the forest with a loud crash, copper, brass, and steel plating glinting in the sunlight as several trees where uprooted by a mass of flesh and metal. There were a series of whirs and clicks from within the resulting crater as the mechanized drake attempted to right himself. Clockwork claws tapping against armored skull as he tried to rub the senses back into his shiny noggin.
Once the male regathered enough of his wits, he realized what had almost happened. "Valaina," he exclaimed in surprise as he tried to brush the dirt and rocks from his metal carapace. "And... somebody else?" The drake wasn't good with social matters, which wasn't aided in the least by the fact that he spent most of his days experimenting in his labs deep within the desert-side mountains.
After the two had exited the cave, Xiu remained inside in the nest he shared with the blue. Even from in here he could still hear the two females talking, but didn't feel like moving nor joining in. He would perhaps remain here to rest for a while longer before he would seek revenge on the witch, or do anything else for that matter.
As Narrae entered to fetch the specter's top hat, he spoke up. "If you are leaving, then I will remain here, both to rest and to wait to see if Zoot does return. If she does not.." Xiu trailed off and gave a slight shrug. "I might just go looking for her, if I can."
Whether or not his mate responded, he would move to plant himself in the lair's entrance once she'd left it. "I'll stand guard."
____
Valaina had moved from her spot by the cave as Narrae returned with something, her eyes lingering on the black hat for a moment but saying nothing about it. There would be enough time later for the two to talk of what had transpired in the absence of the other.
"When we're done, we can seek out the others and have them all gather here to tell them. I can, at least, since you won't have to repeat yourself a third time." The dark lady offered and whether or not the blue replied, would rise into the air shortly after Narrae had taken flight. Following her example, she flew easily alongside her on their way towards the mountains.
Their flight was interrupted on the way there, as the male they'd gone to see was out like they were. "There he is." Valaina pointed out to Narrae, but what greeting would have followed for Dross never came to be as he nearly crashed into them. No doubt distracted, as he sometimes was. The blackscale dove down as he crashed into the forest below their position and landed carefully by the wreckage. An amused smile lingered on her lips as he rose from the tangle of uprooted trees. "We were just coming to see you, Dross. Something has happened. I'll fill you in on it in a moment, but meet Narrae. I believe I mentioned her to you at one point, if I'm not mistaken. She's a friend."
After nearly encountering an accident mid-air with the newcomer, Narrae couldn't exactly say that she felt pleased to meet him. However, she'd faith that Valaina wouldn't invest spare time in an imbecile and bugled a greeting as she made for a spot to land.
For now, they need not crowd the male's lair- especially in such trying times. Any one dragon could be an associate of Myrria's. Certainly, Narrae would be expected to suspect even those closest to her, but no one had attempted to finish what the witch had started, just yet.
Even still, the dragon approached with some level of caution, curious gaze wandering over the varying aspects of the stranger, "What magic is this?" She had seen the magics worked by those who dwelt within the vast, modern, cities and had likewise seen places occupied by wizards and witches.
Too, she'd seen Cirinia and Zren's magic at work, though she'd not yet been graced with visualization of Valaina's. Enryous rose briefly during her recollection only to be cast aside; it mattered not if she'd seen him do magic before. Enryous' body lie amid her treasure. No magic could make him walk as he'd been before again.

The inventor squinted at the colorful new dragon who came to the corner of the crater he had inadvertently caused. "W-well" he began, obviously uncomfortable with the threatening gaze that was being given to him by the dragoness, mechanized eyes whirring noisily as they came to focus on their red, white, and blue hide. "It's a sort of hybrid of alchemy and magic."
The male sat back, clockwork limbs whirring and extruding steam as he did so. A pair of copper panels slid open in the engineer's apparent sides, as the plated rocket boosters folded in on themselves with a series of clicks and then retracted into the holes, which slid shut. A mechanized arm and tail were gestured around in the air as he spoke next. "I've become quite proficient at, um, prosthetic limbs and the like," he revealed, emerald embers flicking over toward Valaina as he spoke, perhaps looking for reassurance, since the new female obviously made him uncomfortable.
Valaina moved to the edge of the small crater that Dross had made and crouched, turning her head to glance back at Narrae as she asked her question. She would have answered it herself, if she knew more. The dark lady did remember the mechanical dragon told her about it, but her limited knowledge on technology hindered her understanding some.
Her midnight gaze shifted from the blue to return to Dross as he spoke some and looked to her. "It'll be alright, she's a friend and won't hurt you. Come on, get out of that crater of yours." Val started. "The Sh'Tusa's Seekers, I believe I told you about them, is being.. dissolved. Narrae heads a new clan now, yet unnamed. I've joined as a spy, and we've come to you to recruit you, if you wish to join forces."
The discomfort her presence caused the male soothed Narrae on a primitive level. He recognized her dominance and feared her- and rightly so, considering recent events.
The beast halted her approach, head lifting slightly with unmasked pride at the blackscale's introduction, though she added tartly, "I shan't harm you unless you give me legitimate reason to do so." Certainly, it was an attempt at a darker type of humor, though she gave Valaina a reassuring glance to prevent the female from having reason to consider the blue a threat to her... 'friend.'
That Narrae suspected an underlying motive behind their relationship was a given, but the female took care in not stating such directly or cornering either about it. They would be approached at a more appropriate time, at least.
Dross was given another glance, though, as Blank's top hat sluggishly levitated so that it rested upon the dragon's head and the female slowly spoke, "What of protective armor in lieu of scales?"
If it wasn't blatantly obvious what the dragon desired such for from the get-go, Narrae'd tilt her head so that the blackened, exposed bones were more visible, "Removable, if needed, too."
Payment would be discussed shortly thereafter, likely, and the blue took quick stock of what she'd back in her little hideaway. Few things she possessed would likely suit the drake's tastes, but gems were gems-- and, of course, beautiful baubles could be used to woo certain females later on...
Matchmaker, eh? That could be arranged.
